Quantity Surveyor VS Architect

What is the different between Quantity Surveyor and Architect??
My friend told me,
Quantity Surveyor=SYM-->Snatch Your Money
Architect=WYM-->Waste Your Money
xD
Do you think so??
In my opinion, Qs is calculate; Architect is draw.
Now, let us to more understand what is between these two.

Quantity Surveyor

A quantity surveyor (QS) is a professional working within the construction industry concerned with building costs.

The profession is one that provides a qualification gained following formal education, specific training and experience that provides a general set of skills that are then applied to a diverse variety of problems. Predominantly these relate to costs and contracts on construction projects. Other areas in which QS find employment include property surveys for hidden defects on behalf of potential purchasers, running estates, valuing the mineral deposits for mining companies, selling property and even Leasehold Reform Act work.

There are around 75,000 professional QSs working in the UK.

Architect

An architect is a person trained in the planning, design and oversight of the construction of buildings, and is licensed to practice architecture. To practice architecture means to offer or render services in connection with the design and construction of a building, or group of buildings and the space within the site surrounding the buildings, that have as their principal purpose human occupancy or use.Etymologically,architect derives from the Latinarchitectus, itself derived from the Greekarkhitekton (arkhi-, chief +tekton, builder), i.e. chief builder.

Professionally, an architect's decisions affect public safety, and thus an architect must undergo specialized training consisting of advanced education and a practicum(or internship) for practical experience to earn a license to practice architecture. The practical, technical, and academic requirements for becoming an architect vary by jurisdiction.

The terms architect andarchitecture are also used in the disciplines ofinformation technology (for example a software architect), naval architecture andlandscape architecture. In most of the world's jurisdictions, the professional and commercial uses of the term "architect", outside of the etymologic variants noted, is legally protected.
